Mechanical Engineer (Tuas)

JOB DESCRIPTION Department: Rationalization Report to: Section Head Functional Relationships with: Production, Product Design, Procurement, Process Engineering POSITION PROFILE: Based in: Singapore Job site: Tuas The successful candidate will: In-charge and support all equipment and process related activities like design, assembly, installation, debug, troubleshooting, evaluation, report. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Equipment and tool & jig design, assembly, and installation with mechanical and product specification, followed by test, debug, troubleshooting and hand over to end user. Project management in plan and execution of activities, following equipment management procedure for execution. Support production or maintenance group in equipment related trouble analysis with statistical tools and counter-measure implementation. Support or in-charge for factory automation process & improvement. Ensure activity compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, specifications and maintain process ISO system. ABILITY / COMPETENCY REQUIRED: Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in Equipment Design/Automation. Knowledge of CAD, solid works, material knowledge, formulation of new equipment design concept. Able to work well as a team player while being independent and pro-active. Positive attitude in a challenging work environment. Good technical report writing and presentation skills. Able to work independently as well as multi-task.
