Company Overview My English School operates 14 learning centres island-wide, delivering essential English foundation programmes including a leading-edge Reading programme and English Primary curriculum to help children succeed in school and life. Job Summary You will nurture young learners to become fluent, confident readers using the 5 Elements of Reading Instruction and teach English Language skills to Primary 1 to 6 students, balancing academic progress with lifelong learning. Responsibilities Nurture young learners to develop fluent and confident reading skills through the 5 Elements of Reading Instruction Model and teach clear standard English pronunciation to ensure correct sound production from the start Teach receptive English skills: reading, listening, and viewing to Primary 1 to 6 students Teach productive English skills: writing, speaking, and representing to Primary 1 to 6 students Instruct students on language knowledge including grammar and vocabulary to enhance their English proficiency Use company-provided, regularly updated teaching materials and resources to deliver lessons effectively Participate in teacher training sessions including lesson observation and co-teaching to align with company standards Commit to scheduled working hours on weekdays and weekends, minimizing leave during the academic calendar Required competencies and certifications Degree in English, Linguistics, or teaching-related field from a reputable university (academic requirement) Ability to express themselves clearly in standard English to role model correct pronunciation for young learners Preferred competencies and qualifications Initial teaching experience (welcomed but not required due to company training provided) Passion for working with young learners and fostering their development Other Information Working Hours: Weekdays: 2.00pm to 9.10pm (3 days between Monday to Friday) Weekends: 8.45am to 6.35pm (Saturday and Sunday)
