About Nam Hwa Opera Limited Nam Hwa Opera Limited is a registered charity and Institution of a Public Character (IPC) in Singapore dedicated to preserving, promoting and developing traditional Teo Chew opera and performing arts. Through performances, education, community outreach and youth programmes, we strive to keep this important cultural heritage vibrant for future generations. We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will support the daily finance operations and ensure accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with charity and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities - Handle full sets of accounts or assigned accounting functions. - Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions. - Prepare payment vouchers and process bank transfers. - Perform bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations. - Record receipts from donations, grants, sponsorships and programme income. - Monitor grant utilisation and maintain proper supporting documentation. - Assist in tracking restricted and unrestricted funds where applicable. - Prepare monthly financial schedules and management reports. - Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. - Support annual audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditors' requests. - Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, charity regulations and organisational policies. - Assist with budgeting and cash flow monitoring. - Support finance-related matters for performances, events and community programmes. - Perform GST, payroll or CPF-related accounting duties where applicable. - Undertake any other finance or administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager. Requirements - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. - Minimum 2 years of accounting experience preferred. - Experience in the non-profit, charity or arts sector is an advantage. - Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) is preferred. - Familiarity with charity accounting and grant reporting will be an advantage. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. AutoCount, Xero, QuickBooks or similar). - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Meticulous, organised and able to meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Able to work independently as well as in a team.
