Project Officer (Synthetic Microbiology)

The Project Officer will be responsible for designing and constructing biosynthetic pathways in microbial chassis, performing gene cloning, expressing and characterizing enzymes, and conducting various molecular biology experiments. Key duties also include maintaining cell cultures, troubleshooting procedures, and actively contributing to collaborative research efforts. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field, along with foundational knowledge of molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification techniques. Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology methods like PCR and DNA sequencing is preferred, as is familiarity with synthetic biology concepts.
