Job Description Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health: Research Associate (Health Financing) The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a full-time, experienced research associate to support a programme of applied research on health financing, economic evaluation, health technology assessment (HTA), and health systems strengthening. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to policy-relevant research, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of economists, modellers, and policy specialists, and engage directly with national and international partners. Job scope: • To undertake high-quality applied research in health financing and economic evaluation, including contributing to drafting major grant proposals and/or leading in drafting small grant proposals; • To analyse health financing mechanisms and their links to service coverage, quality, and equity; • To support ethics applications; • To contribute to peer-reviewed publications and other outputs, including as lead author; • To collaborate with economists, modellers, epidemiologists, and policy specialists at NUS and other institutions; • To engage stakeholders and translate complex technical analyses into policy-relevant reports and recommendations for national and regional partners; • To disseminate research findings through presentations at international conferences and meetings with key partners; • To review the latest research and policy developments in health financing and universal health coverage regularly; • To contribute to the broader research community through journal and grant reviews; • To participate in mandatory NUS training and keep abreast of advancements in research methods. Requirements: • Experience with applied health financing, economic evaluation, or health systems research, preferably in Southeast Asian settings. • Strong analytical and data management skills using programme, administrative, real-world, and/or observational data. • Proficiency with statistical or analytical software (e.g., R, Stata, or Excel) for economic evaluation and quantitative analysis. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical and policy report writing. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. • Strong organisational skills and time management. The grade of appointment will be accorded based on the candidate’s academic qualifications and years of relevant experience.
