Job Description The successful candidate will work with A/P Darren Yeo Chong Jinn on eDNA under a project titled “Optimising environmental DNA approaches for detection and monitoring of forest streams and freshwater swamp diversity”. The main responsibilities of the position include: Field and lab work required for the project Data analyses and report preparation Dissemination of findings via publications and presentations Project management and procurement Qualifications PhD in Ecology and/or Life Science or equivalent. Skills: Research skills including statistical and analytic skills is essential Excellent writing abilities are desirable Physically fit for fieldwork in tropical freshwater environment Independence, but also able to work well with others in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment Leadership qualities and independence, while able to lead and/or work well with others in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment Experience: Prior experience in aquatic field research and molecular biology
