Job Description The successful candidate will work with Zhang Chun on computational studies of thermoelectric effects at nanoscale under a project on “ab initio modelling of thermoelectric effects in materials: Beyond the linear response regime”. The main responsibilities of the position include: Design a new ab initio method for modelling nanoscale thermoelectric effects. Investigate thermoelectric effects in experimentally fabricated nanoscale materials with the proposed ab initio method. Qualifications PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science. Skills: Experienced in parallel coding; Expert in DFT-based computational theories and software; Familiar with nonequilibrium modelling of quantum systems. Experience: Published first-author papers in main-stream journals in computational condensed matter physics, materials physics or quantum chemistry.
