Key Responsibilities ● Conduct a comprehensive, end-to-end technical audit of the live Workday tenant configuration to map legacy technical debt and identify systemic points of failure. ● Review all current worker data mappings, duplicate job profiles, and reporting gaps that currently restrict accurate workforce tracking and cross-functional reporting. ● Evaluate existing Workday Business Processes BPs and notification frameworks to distinguish between minor process gaps and fundamentally flawed architectures. ● Systematically dismantle and rebuild "clogged," overly rigid, or non-standard workflows (such as over-engineered, multi-level approval matrices). ● Streamline cross-functional security group assignments, permission hierarchies, and collaborative intersections between different HR modules. ● Distinguish where the engagement should remain advisory vs. where hands-on configuration/reconfiguration support is required to address technical debt. ● Support stakeholder alignment across HR leaders, Finance executives, People Service Center PSC, and GTS Service Owners to translate technical system limitations into clear strategic choices. Expected Deliverables in First 36 Months ● Comprehensive end-to-end technical audit of the live Workday tenant configuration mapping technical debt. ● Detailed Remediation Plan outlining critical configurations that must be optimized, modernized, or decommissioned. ● Standardized "Acquisition Profile Template" to build repeatable, plug-and-play scaling for future M&A onboarding workstreams. ● Strategic Audit Report containing comprehensive tenant findings and a definitive technical recommendation advising leadership whether to proceed on an iterative Reconfiguration path or execute a Greenfield Reimplementation. ● Re-engineered, streamlined Workday Business Process BP workflows and security-group permission hierarchies. Required Experience ● Proven track record acting as a Workday Master Architect, Solution Architect, or Principal Consultant, with deep hands-on configuration expertise across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking modules. ● Extensive background leading multi-market Workday tenant audits, data-cleansing strategies, and complex instance remediation for technology enterprises scaling beyond 10,000 workers. ● Demonstrated capacity to evaluate enterprise-scale instances and deliver comprehensive cost-benefit/risk analyses comparing complex reconfiguration options against full greenfield reimplementations. ● Expert-level knowledge of Workday Business Process BP architecture, configuration dependencies, security-group modeling, and custom conditional routing rules. ● Ability to operate as a consultative partner, working across business, HR, IT, and architecture stakeholders to translate highly technical system limitations into clear strategic choices. Preferred Experience ● Strong technical comprehension of how core Workday data transformations impact downstream enterprise applications (such as Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, SmartRecruiters, and custom middleware layers). ● Experience moving from strategy and comprehensive health audits to complex tenant remediation or full greenfield reimplementation delivery in complex environments. ● Familiarity with building robust data foundations for future enterprise AI/automation adoption and Agentic AI capabilities. leadership.
