SCADA & PLC Programmer Location: Tuas, Singapore About the Project Our client has recently been awarded a major package for the Industrial Liquids Module (ILM) at the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP) . This project forms part of Singapore's national water infrastructure programme and involves the installation, integration and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) systems. We are looking for an experienced ABB SCADA & PLC Programmer to support the automation and control systems throughout engineering, testing, commissioning and project delivery. Responsibilities Develop, configure and modify ABB PLC and SCADA software for water and wastewater treatment applications. Perform PLC programming, HMI development and SCADA configuration using ABB automation platforms. Configure field instrumentation, communication interfaces and industrial networks. Develop control philosophies, functional design specifications and software documentation. Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), loop checks and commissioning activities. Integrate PLCs with field instruments, MCCs, VSDs, analyzers and third-party systems. Troubleshoot automation hardware, software and communication issues during testing and commissioning. Support site installation teams during system energisation and commissioning. Maintain project documentation including IO lists, cause & effect matrices, software backups and commissioning records. Work closely with Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Process Engineers to ensure successful project delivery. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation or related discipline. Minimum 3 years' experience in PLC/SCADA programming within Water, Wastewater, Industrial, Utilities, Power or Process Plant environments. Hands-on experience with ABB PLC and ABB SCADA systems . Good understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP or OPC. Experience performing FAT, SAT, loop checking and commissioning. Ability to read P&IDs, control philosophies, IO lists and electrical drawings. Familiarity with instrumentation including flowmeters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, control valves and analysers is advantageous. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
