Material Controller (1-Year Contract) Location: Tuas, Singapore Industry: Waste-to-Energy (WTE) / Power Generation Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Extension subject to project requirements and performance) About the Project Join one of Singapore's largest Waste-to-Energy infrastructure projects supporting the development and operation of a state-of-the-art Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF). This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary EPC project team responsible for delivering a nationally significant power generation and environmental infrastructure project. As a Material Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring materials are accurately planned, received, stored, tracked and issued to support construction and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage and issuance of project materials. Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP Material Management (SAP MM) or relevant SAP modules. Monitor material availability and ensure timely delivery to support construction schedules. Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Engineering and Site Construction teams. Track material movements and maintain material status reports. Ensure all incoming materials comply with purchase orders, delivery documentation and project specifications. Raise material requests and coordinate replenishment where necessary. Investigate and resolve material discrepancies, shortages or damaged deliveries. Maintain proper documentation including Goods Receipt (GR), Material Transfer and inventory records. Support stock-taking activities and inventory reconciliation. Ensure proper storage and preservation of project materials in accordance with company procedures. Maintain compliance with company HSE, quality and project requirements. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in Material Control, Warehouse Operations or Materials Management within EPC, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Heavy Industrial or Infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience using SAP is mandatory. Good understanding of material receiving, inventory control and warehouse processes. Experience supporting large-scale construction or industrial projects is highly preferred. Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills. Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
