Service Engineer for Cargo pumps service and commissioning. Your main responsibilities: Service and repair of deepwell and submerged pumps on LPG and LNG tankers. Troubleshooting of gas pumps for LPG and LNG tankers. Commissioning of cargo pumps Service and repairs are carried out either during the voyage or at the shipyard. The usual length of each job is between 1 to 3 weeks and are normally carried out by 1 to 2 service engineers. All service jobs take place either while sailing or during vessels dry-dock in all parts of the world. We expected travel activity 160 days annually. Skills and Qualifications: Mandarin proficiency required due to the need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. Minimum qualification: Higher Nitec or Diploma in Marine, Mechanical or equivalent engineering fields Experience from a similar job - maritime industry is an advantage. Responsible and trustworthy towards customers and colleagues. Pro-active, motivated, and strong team player. Sympathetic and service minded appearance Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Knowledge from LPG/LNG gas carriers is preferred. Ability to work independently, willingness to travel overseas on short notice and work irregular hours as needed. Experience in documentation and have knowledge of Microsoft office package.
