Assistant Cook

Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to company recipes and production requirements. Prepare ingredients such as washing, cutting, peeling, and portioning food materials. Support cooks in daily food production and catering operations. Ensure food is prepared in accordance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas. Assist in packing, labeling, and storing food products where required. Monitor and replenish ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed. Follow food safety procedures, workplace safety requirements, and company operating procedures. Assist with stock receiving and proper storage of food ingredients. Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by supervisors or management. Requirements Relevant experience in food preparation, catering, or kitchen operations is an advantage but not mandatory. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food production environment. Willing to learn and follow company procedures and instructions. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Good time management and organizational skills. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen-related tasks. Responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining food quality standards. Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
