Curriculum Specialist Requirements A Curriculum Specialist should possess: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English or Chinese (for Chinese Curriculum Specialists) Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, professionals, parents, families, and community partners from diverse backgrounds and cultures Minimum 2 years of experience in the early childhood sector, with the ability to implement innovative curriculum practices and teaching strategies Key Responsibilities 1. Developing the Whole Child Curriculum and Pedagogy Plan and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to children’s individual learning needs to achieve optimal developmental outcomes Create and manage a positive, engaging, and effective classroom environment that promotes appropriate behavioural guidance Conduct ongoing classroom observations to inform intentional, differentiated, and individualized teaching strategies Build trusting and respectful relationships with children through positive interactions and meaningful engagement Learning Environment Design, set up, and continuously evaluate learning spaces to create stimulating and developmentally appropriate environments for children Health, Safety and Nutrition Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children Adhere to operational procedures and SOPs relating to children’s care, well-being, and safety practices 2. Collaborating with Families and Communities Family and Community Partnerships Build strong rapport with families through consistent, personalized, and customer-centric communication Foster meaningful home-school partnerships through daily interactions and engagement Support collaborative initiatives involving families and community stakeholders 3. Building Professional Capacity Professional Mastery Mentor and guide the teaching team to strengthen competencies and promote effective team teaching practices Participate actively in professional sharing, networking, collaboration, and reflective teaching practices to support continuous professional growth Professional Values and Ethics Advocate professionalism within the teaching team by upholding ECE ethics, organizational policies, and the Odyssey programme philosophy, culture, and core values 4.
