About this role
Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, and recruit skilled workers, engineers, project managers, and other construction-related roles. Partner with site managers to understand workforce needs and plan manpower accordingly. Manage onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring proper induction into construction operations and safety practices. Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries and concerns. Foster a positive work environment by addressing grievances, mediating disputes, and promoting open communication. Conduct regular site visits to engage with employees and address any site-specific issues. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, attendance, and certifications. Oversee worker permits, visa processing (if applicable), and ensure proper documentation for migrant labor. Training & Development: Coordinate and deliver safety training, technical skills enhancement, and leadership development programs. Identify skill gaps and design training programs tailored to construction project needs. Maintain a database of certifications and ensure workers remain compliant with mandatory training requirements. Performance Management: Monitor employee performance, especially site-based workers, to ensure project efficiency. Support managers in conducting appraisals, setting performance benchmarks, and recognizing high performers. Develop retention strategies for critical construction roles. Workforce Planning & Deployment: Collaborate with project managers to plan manpower allocation across multiple construction sites. Manage workforce schedules, shift rotations, and site transfers as needed. Forecast workforce requirements based on project timelines.
