We are partnering with a leading petrochemical MNC to identify a Senior E&I Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, integrity, and lifecycle management of critical plant assets. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing preventive maintenance strategies, driving asset performance, supporting capital improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintenance planning, asset reliability improvement, contract and project management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external contractors, this position will contribute to the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of the organization's facilities. Key Responsibilities Asset Reliability & Maintenance Strategy Develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies, including 3-year maintenance plans, to ensure asset reliability and operational continuity. Review asset criticality, risk assessments, maintenance history, regulatory requirements, and company standards to determine appropriate preventive maintenance programs. Define and optimize preventive maintenance activities, frequencies, work scopes, procedures, and resource requirements for electrical and instrumentation assets. Evaluate equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness, recommending improvements to enhance reliability and reduce downtime. Conduct maintenance analyses and identify opportunities to improve asset performance, operational efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness. Lead root cause investigations for equipment and system failures, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to maintenance technicians on complex equipment and system issues. Asset Lifecycle Management & Capital Projects Support the full lifecycle management of electrical and instrumentation assets, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose. Identify overhaul, replacement, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) requirements based on asset condition, business needs, and sustainability objectives. Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and cost estimates for maintenance and capital improvement projects. Support tendering activities, contractor evaluations, and vendor selection processes for maintenance contracts and engineering projects. Coordinate and monitor contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements. Conduct inspections and assessments of engineering works, installations, and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, statutory regulations, and company standards. Maintenance Planning & Compliance Establish maintenance work packages, standard procedures, inspection requirements, and resource plans in collaboration with maintenance planners and supervisors. Develop maintenance cost estimates and support budget planning for preventive maintenance activities and minor projects. Review inspection findings and maintenance reports, providing recommendations and action plans to address identified issues. Maintain accurate asset data and maintenance records within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, safety, environmental, and corporate maintenance standards. Support and facilitate internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections. Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Management Identify and implement initiatives to improve maintenance practices, asset reliability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement programs through data analysis, performance monitoring, and best-practice maintenance methodologies. Lead or support corporate initiatives, digitalization projects, and pilot implementations related to maintenance and asset management. Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Procurement, and external stakeholders to achieve maintenance and business objectives. Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for maintenance and operations personnel to strengthen operational capabilities.
