Software Application Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a technically minded and customer-focused Software Application Engineer to support our dimensional metrology solutions for the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. This role bridges engineering and customer applications, helping users maximize the value of our measurement systems through application development, technical support, training, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate enjoys mathematics, software, and working directly with customers and channel partners to develop practical solutions for complex measurement challenges. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize measurement applications for customer-specific requirements. Work closely with customers and channel partners to understand technical challenges and recommend effective solutions. Perform application feasibility studies, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept evaluations. Provide technical training and application support to customers, distributors, and internal teams. Assist with system installations, acceptance testing, and customer onboarding. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify product improvements and new application opportunities. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to customers and channel partners. Participate in industry exhibitions, seminars, and customer visits as required. Qualifications Required Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Matlab, C,C++, Python, C#, Java, or similar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Enjoy mathematics and applying mathematical concepts to real-world engineering problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with customers, channel partners, and cross-functional teams. Preferred Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with machine vision, metrology, inspection, automation, or manufacturing systems. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, or precision engineering. Experience developing software, scripts, or algorithms for technical applications. Understanding of dimensional metrology and measurement principles.
