Overview The Project Engineer will be reporting to the Site Project Manager, and will play a key role in delivering the PepsiCo PGCS Strategic Capital Projects Agenda. They will contribute towards driving efficiency and best practice in all aspects of the business. They will ensure compliance to both internal and external regulations in all their engineering activities. This role will be hired on a 24-month basis. Responsibilities What you will be responsible for: Manage day-to-day project management and construction activities on the Project to ensure compliance to Project, SFA & FDA and other applicable Regulatory requirements. Planning, organizing, coordinating, and communicating aspects of project work activities on site from conception to completion. Coordination / schedule meetings on the daily progress of works on site. Ensuring that installation and start up is in line with process design intent. Leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment design, project implementation and construction management Interface and communication with the plant to ensure seamless handover of projects to plant operations Coordinate engineering design for hook-up and tie-in works of all process systems with PGCS internal stakeholders, contractors and equipment vendors to meet project requirements and in accordance with the governing Industry Standards and local government code of practices. Review documentations submitted by vendor, ensuring that all comments are incorporated to meet the design intent of the system for the project. Review contractors design documentations provided by contractor’s team for purchased process system / equipment and coordinate with PGCS subject matter expert & other design disciplines on process related issues. Oversee the installation of processing equipment systems to meet the PGCS requirements. Participate in FAT, SAT and pre-commissioning activities as required. Assist development of process P&ID’s and review design, construction and as built issues. Participate in process HAZOPs reviews. Avoid compliance issues by collaborating with CSA/MEP Project Manager and other project teams; reviewing design data; identifying and resolving engineering design issues; identifying short-term and long-range issues; researching and identifying applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes; developing compliance policies. Qualifications What you will need to have: 5 to 10 years of process industry experience in engineering with additional operations or maintenance exposure Degree qualification in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Experience required in the following areas: Process plant technical standards Project concept development Design, Procurement and Installation Construction, Commissioning and Validation Environmental, health and safety management Change management Project risk management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organization What you will be responsible for: Manage day-to-day project management and construction activities on the Project to ensure compliance to Project, SFA & FDA and other applicable Regulatory requirements.
