About this role
The Support Analyst will be part of the Global FIX Connectivity team, responsible for supporting FIX connectivity and electronic trading services. The role involves handling FIX connectivity requests from clients, brokers, vendors, exchanges and internal trading teams. The successful candidate will provide daily production support to High-Touch and Low-Touch Cash Equities, SWAP, Futures and Options trading desks. The role also includes FIX testing, certification, client onboarding, production incident support and coordination with infrastructure and network teams. This is a shift-based role supporting Asian market trading hours and may require working in a high-pressure trading-floor environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily production support for FIX connectivity and electronic trading systems. Support High-Touch and Low-Touch Cash Equities, Agency, Program Trading, SWAP, Futures and Options desks. Manage FIX connectivity requests from clients, brokers, vendors, exchanges and liquidity venues. Perform FIX testing, certification and onboarding for clients, brokers, vendors and exchanges. Investigate FIX session, order routing, execution, rejection and trade-booking issues. Analyse FIX messages, logs and system alerts to identify and resolve production incidents. Coordinate with infrastructure, network, security and application teams to establish external connectivity. Maintain FIX session configurations, network relationships and operational documentation. Support Direct Market Access and Direct Strategy Access trading workflows. Monitor FIX applications and connectivity using enterprise monitoring tools. Manage incidents, service requests and changes through ServiceNow or similar platforms. Prepare implementation plans, test plans, deployment procedures and rollback plans. Participate in production rollouts, post-incident reviews and service improvement initiatives. Develop Unix shell scripts and operational tools where required. Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and support procedures. Undertake other trade-support responsibilities when required. Job Requirements: Minimum five years of hands-on experience in FIX technology. Strong experience in FIX certification, client onboarding and production support. Three to five years of experience in a broker, dealer, investment bank or electronic trading environment. Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol, including FIX 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2. Experience with FIX engines such as Cameron FIX, Appia or equivalent. Good understanding of Cash Equities trading in DMA, DSA, Agency and Program Trading environments. Good knowledge of SWAP, Futures and Options trading workflows. Experience supporting electronic trading systems in a production environment. Good understanding of DMA and DSA trade-booking flows. Experience with Order Management or Execution Management Systems such as Fidessa or FlexTrade. Familiarity with trading front-end platforms such as Bloomberg or ITG. Experience with FIX testing tools such as VeriFIX. Experience with monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, Logstash, Elasticsearch or ITRS. Experience with ServiceNow or similar incident and change-management tools. Working knowledge of Unix, Linux and shell scripting. User-level knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL. Ability to manage FIX projects and production rollouts independently. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with traders, clients, vendors and technology teams. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure trading-floor environment. Advantageous Skills: FIX development or programming experience. Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles. Experience in automation, observability and production service improvement. Previous experience working directly with front-office trading teams.
