L2 Application Support Engineer

We are looking for an L2 Application Support Engineer to provide 24x7 operational support for business-critical applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for application monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, deployments, environment support, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires strong hands-on technical experience in Java/J2EE, Oracle, SQL or PL/SQL, APIs, Linux/Unix, AWS, middleware, and production support processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide L2 application support for production and non-production environments. Monitor application alerts, system logs, batch jobs, interfaces, and scheduled activities. Manage and resolve application incident tickets from investigation to closure. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application-related issues to minimize business and customer impact. Perform root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence. Escalate critical or unresolved issues to L3, development, infrastructure, cloud, security, or vendor teams where required. Track escalated issues proactively until resolution. Support application deployments to testing and production environments in accordance with change management procedures. Participate in pre-deployment checks, post-deployment validation, and rollback support where required. Support day-to-day operational activities, including application monitoring, deployments, and environment support. Prepare and maintain incident reports, operational documents, change documents, run-books, known issue records, and workaround documents. Provide regular and timely updates to technical leads, management, users, customers, and other stakeholders. Support application testing and investigation activities in SIT, UAT, and other non-production environments.
