We are seeking an experienced Cards System Analyst to support and enhance our Card Management Systems and card processing applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in C, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, and Java, along with experience in production support, system enhancements, incident management, and business-as-usual (BAU) operations within the banking/cards domain. The role involves working closely with business users, vendors, development teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of card systems supporting debit, credit, prepaid, and payment processing services. System Enhancements & Change Management Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and implement system enhancements and functional changes. Prepare functional and technical specifications for enhancement projects. Application Development & Maintenance Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using C, Java, Unix/Linux, and Shell Scripting. Modify existing programs and batch jobs to support business requirements. Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability. Support deployment and release activities across development, testing, and production environments. BAU Support & Production Management Provide L2/L3 application support for Cards and Payment Systems. Monitor daily production processes and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement preventive measures. Troubleshoot application, database, batch, and interface-related issues. Support business-critical card processing activities, including authorizations, settlements, clearing, and reconciliation processes. Participate in on-call support and manage critical system incidents Required skills Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience in: C Programming Unix/Linux Operating Systems Shell Scripting (Korn Shell/Bash) Java Development Experience in troubleshooting production issues in Unix environments. Knowledge of batch processing and job scheduling. Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server. Familiarity with application monitoring and incident management tools. Understanding of APIs, file-based integrations, and middleware technologies. Domain Knowledge Strong experience in Cards and Payments Domain. Understanding of: Credit Card Systems Debit Card Systems Card Management Systems Authorization & Switching Clearing & Settlement Chargebacks & Disputes Payment Processing Lifecycle Analytical & Support Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
