Software Engineer (Vision/Image Processing Products)

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer to develop advanced automated inspection solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The successful candidate will design and implement high-performance image processing and computer vision algorithms for real-time inspection systems operating in high-volume production environments. This role involves developing robust software applications, statistical image analysis techniques, and machine vision solutions to detect and classify defects with high accuracy and speed. Design and develop advanced PC-based automated visual inspection systems for semiconductor manufacturing applications. Develop and optimize high-speed image processing and computer vision algorithms for very high-resolution imaging systems. Implement real-time defect detection, classification, and measurement solutions for integrated circuit (IC) devices. Apply statistical image analysis techniques to improve inspection accuracy, reliability, and process performance. Develop software solutions for high-throughput manufacturing environments with stringent performance requirements. Collaborate with hardware, optics, algorithm, and process engineering teams to integrate inspection solutions into production systems. Design and develop graphical user interfaces (GUI) to support system operation, visualization, and analysis. Implement 3D vision techniques for surface inspection, measurement, and defect characterization. Develop and maintain software modules for image acquisition, processing, visualization, and system control. Enhance system performance through software optimization, code profiling, and algorithm improvement. Participate in software testing, validation, debugging, and continuous improvement activities. Experience & Technical Skills Strong experience in computer vision, machine vision, and image processing application development. Proficiency in C++ programming and Windows-based software development. Experience developing high-performance software applications in real-time environments. Knowledge of statistical image analysis and pattern recognition techniques. Experience with 3D vision technologies, image reconstruction, or depth-based inspection systems. Experience in GUI development and software visualization tools. Understanding of computer graphics concepts and visualization techniques. Familiarity with software architecture, multithreading, and performance optimization. Experience with industrial automation, machine vision systems, or semiconductor inspection applications is highly preferred. Required skills/experience: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related Engineering disciplines Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer inspection, or advanced manufacturing environments. Familiarity with OpenCV, MFC, .NET, or other image processing and visualization libraries. Understanding of defect detection, classification, metrology, and process control applications. Experience with large-scale image datasets and high-resolution imaging systems.
