What You Will Be Working On: Unit Trust Back-Office (UTIBO) is an internal back-office system dedicated to Unit Trust operations within Phillip Securities, designed to automate and integrate key workflows that support Wealth Management and related business functions. Developed and maintained by the IT Development Team, UTIBO plays a critical role in improving efficiency, reducing manual effort, and supporting regulatory and business requirements. As part of our ongoing platform evolution, we are: Enhancing and extending UTIBO automation workflows and system integrations Improving reliability, observability, and scalability of existing UTIBO services Modernizing selected components and development practices, including CI/CD and AI-assisted development As a UTIBO Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting UTIBO-based solutions. You will work closely with system analysts, business stakeholders, and fellow developers to deliver reliable automation and integration solutions that support business-critical operations. You will also be encouraged to leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed. In This Role, You Will: Design, develop, and maintain UTIBO automation workflows and services to support business and operational processes. Analyse existing manual or semi-automated processes and translate them into robust, maintainable UTIBO solutions. Develop and maintain system integrations between UTIBO and upstream/downstream systems using APIs, messaging, or file-based interfaces where applicable. Collaborate with system analysts and business users to clarify requirements, propose technical solutions, and assess impacts of changes. Implement enhancements, bug fixes, and optimisations to existing UTIBO jobs with a strong focus on stability and performance. Ensure proper error handling, logging, and monitoring are in place to support production operations and troubleshooting. Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for UTIBO changes. Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to support coding, refactoring, test generation, and documentation, while applying sound engineering judgement. Document UTIBO workflows, technical designs, configuration details, and operational procedures for ongoing support and knowledge sharing. Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and contribute actively to team discussions and improvements. Provide production support for UTIBO-related incidents and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues within agreed SLAs. Experience in application development, automation, or system integration roles. Must be proficient in C# (preferably with experience building enterprise back-end services and integrations). Experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP), batch processes, or message-driven integrations. Familiarity with databases (SQL-based or NoSQL) and experience writing and optimising queries. Understanding of production support considerations such as logging, monitoring, error handling, and incident diagnosis. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and structured deployment practices. Interest in or experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to improve development efficiency and code quality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex workflows and integration scenarios. Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and document solutions effectively.
