Software Engineer

We will need you to be flexible with your job scope, which includes nurturing younger software developers, strategising together with the management on the product and go-to-market, maintaining the coding standards, and then some. As we are pushing the frontiers, the direction and execution clarity are often vague, iterative, and less structured. Won AI in Finance Global Challenge (2023) at SFF in Singapore Built the 1.5 Pints open-source model - a compact LLM outperforming Apple’s OpenELM and Microsoft’s Phi-1.5 Developed Autothought, our AI reporting engine, now used to replace business analysts in regulated verticals Engineered SentientRAG, a low-hallucination RAG framework optimized for compliance-heavy data Responsibilities Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code Manage stakeholders and communicate with clients Lead a team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) 5+ years of relevant work experience Skills & Traits We’re Looking For Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work Solid TypeScript/JS and Python experience React, Node/Express, REST APIs Git, Docker, Linux familiarity Understanding of embeddings, vector stores, LangChain/LlamaIndex Self-starter mindset - comfortable moving in ambiguity Exposure to RAG or LLM-driven tools is a bonus What You’ll Do 1. Prototype Real-World AI Use Cases Apply Autothought to solve problems in claims, compliance, risk, onboarding, and more Deploy domain-tuned RAG, fine-tuned models, and secure NLP pipelines 2. Full-Stack Software Engineering Own the development of AI-powered internal tools (React + Express) Ship fast in feedback loops while balancing reliability and privacy Work within a secure, tightly monitored infrastructure 3. Client Collaboration Sit alongside business, compliance, and tech teams inside the client Shape requirements, validate assumptions, and ship iteratively 4. Cross-Pollinate with Pints AI’s R&D Stay plugged into our research team’s work on LLM orchestration, embeddings, and compression Contribute to internal tools and open-source libraries when off client delivery cycles Level up fast through mentorship, feedback, and hands-on deployments
