Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Manager Job Responsibilities The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all Workplace Safety & Health matters within the Company, ensuring compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, subsidiary legislation, and client requirements. Key responsibilities include: Develop, implement and maintain the Company's Workplace Safety & Health Management System (WSHMS). Ensure compliance with all applicable Workplace Safety & Health legislation, regulations, Codes of Practice and industry standards. Advise Management on WSH policies, legal requirements and best practices to promote a strong safety culture. Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures. Review and approve Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements and lifting plans where applicable. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near misses, prepare investigation reports, determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Liaise with clients, government authorities (e.g. MOM, WSH Council, SCDF), auditors and external stakeholders on all WSH-related matters. Plan and conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, emergency drills and WSH training programmes for employees and subcontractors. Monitor and ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and site safety requirements. Lead and supervise the Company's WSH team, including WSH Officers, Coordinators and Safety Supervisors. Monitor safety performance indicators and prepare monthly WSH reports and statistics for Management review. Ensure timely reporting of workplace incidents and statutory notifications where required. Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety through safety campaigns, inspections, behavioural safety initiatives and employee engagement programmes. Assist Management in maintaining relevant certifications, including bizSAFE, ISO 45001 and other management systems where applicable. Perform any other duties assigned by Management relating to Workplace Safety & Health. Job Requirements Degree or Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering or a related discipline. Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Minimum 5 years of relevant WSH experience, preferably in the construction, heavy lifting, engineering or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act, WSH Regulations and Singapore safety legislation. Familiarity with ISO 45001 and bizSAFE requirements will be an advantage. Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
