We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Quantity Surveyor to support our tendering, project costing and contract administration activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the project, procurement and management teams to ensure effective cost control and proper commercial management throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Carry out detailed quantity take-offs based on construction drawings, specifications and tender documents. Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, tender submissions, quotations and cost breakdowns for building and M&E projects. Source quotations and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers and service providers. Prepare and process variation orders, monthly progress claims and supporting commercial documentation. Assess subcontractor progress claims, prepare payment recommendations and monitor subcontractor accounts. Assist in the preparation, negotiation and settlement of project final accounts. Monitor project budgets, committed costs, actual expenditure and anticipated final costs. Prepare regular project cost reports, cash-flow projections and cost forecasts for management review. Identify potential cost overruns and recommend appropriate cost-control measures. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams on contractual and commercial matters. Review contract terms, specifications, drawings and other tender or project documents. Maintain proper records of quotations, purchase orders, contracts, claims, variations, correspondence and cost documentation. Support procurement activities and negotiate commercially competitive rates with subcontractors and suppliers. Perform other quantity surveying and contract administration duties assigned by management. Job Requirements Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or a related built-environment discipline. Minimum 2 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in construction industry. Practical experience in tender costing, quantity take-off, progress claims, variation orders and final account preparation. Familiar with construction practices, contract administration, measurement methods and claim procedures. Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities and contract documents accurately. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and other relevant quantity surveying or cost-management software. Good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors. Strong numerical, analytical, negotiation and documentation skills. Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines. Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with the project team. Candidates with experience in M&E, electrical or ELV projects will have an added advantage.
