Network Support/Maintenance Engineer (12-month contract) About the Company: Our client is one of Singapore's leading technology services firms. Role: Network Support/Maintenance Engineer Job Location: Singapore Job Type: Contract Additional notes: 24x7 standby on rotation Job Summary Provides remote and on-site technical support for Network and Security services. Responsible for incident handling, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, operational support, and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements(SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participates in a 24x7 stand by support rotation to ensure service continuity. Key Responsibilities Provide Level remote and on-site technical support for Network and Security services. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network and security incidents within agreed SLAs. Escalate incidents beyond Level 1.5 support to the appropriate technical teams. Manage incident tickets from initiation through closure and maintain accurate documentation. Update incident records promptly in accordance with SOPs. Participate in 24x7 standby support rotation, including weekends and after-office hours as required. Perform preventive maintenance activities and hardware inventory management. Support daily operational activities to ensure network availability and service continuity. Obtain and maintain technical certifications required for the role. Perform additional operational duties assigned by the Team Lead or Operations Manager. Required Skills & Experience Experience providing remote and on-site network support. Hands-on experience supporting Cisco Catalyst Switches (Mandatory). Basic knowledge of Check Point Firewall. Understanding of Network Security concepts. Basic troubleshooting experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking. Knowledge of network switches, routers, and wireless technologies. Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills. Good understanding of SLA-driven support environments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an operations team. Willingness to participate in a 24x7 standby support rotation. Preferred Qualifications Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred. Relevant Network or Security certifications are an added advantage.
