About this role

Key Responsibilities Implement, monitor, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs at construction sites. Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices, and enforce corrective measures. Ensure compliance with local workplace safety regulations and statutory requirements. Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and safety reports for construction activities. Organize and conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions for workers. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend preventive measures. Maintain proper records of safety inspections, training, and incidents. Ensure that all safety equipment (PPE, fire extinguishers, first aid kits) is available, maintained, and used correctly. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and site management on safety-related matters. Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging safe work practices and recognizing safe behavior. Qualifications & Requirements Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Certified in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, WSQ certifications). Experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry preferred Knowledge of construction safety regulations, codes, and best practices a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced construction environment. Excellent documentation skills
