Childcare Assistant (Pg / Jw)

The Childcare Assistant supports teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and conducive environment for children and assists with the daily operations of the classroom. Roles and Responsibilities Assist teachers in supervising and caring for children during daily routines and activities under the guidance and supervision of qualified educators. Assist with children's personal care needs, including helping them change clothes, maintain personal hygiene, and prepare for rest or nap times. Supervise and assist children during meal and snack times. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment. Attend to children's needs and provide comfort, guidance, and reassurance when required. Support the implementation of classroom routines and centre procedures under the guidance of teachers. Help prepare teaching materials, classroom setups, and activity resources as directed by the teachers and principal. Assist with general housekeeping duties related to classroom and children's areas. Perform other duties reasonably assigned to support the smooth operation of the centre. Required Experience and Skills : Minimum Secondary School education. Relevant experience working with children or in a preschool environment will be an advantage. Passionate about working with young children. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
