Normal working hours in a team based envionment Permanent role with an established MNC About the company Our client is the market leader in their industry. As part of their plan to invest in technology, they are now hiring a new Cyber Security Analyst to be based here in their Headquarters here in Singapore. About the job Design, test, and enhance security detection rules across SIEM, EDR, and cloud platforms to spot potential threats early. Align threat detection strategies with industry-standard security frameworks to ensure full coverage against modern attack methods. Work closely with internal defensive and offensive security teams to turn vulnerability findings into actionable alerts and response playbooks. Assist with vulnerability assessments, system testing, and tracking remediation efforts to harden overall system configurations. Evaluate the performance of existing alerts by analyzing detection quality, minimizing false positives, and building simulation test cases. Skills and experience required As a successful applicant, you will have at least 2 years of experience in cyber security. Proven track record in detection and incident response such as SIEM platforms, EDR tools, or IDS/IPS frameworks will be highly preferred. Exposure to ommon cyber attack techniques, including phishing, credential theft, lateral movement, and privilege escalation will be highly preferred. Exposure to MITRE ATT&CK framework to detection and response workflows will be of added advantage.
