About this role
We have a vacancy for a SPED Teacher for our Educational Intervention Programme. Preschool teachers with experience teaching children with special needs , or with a strong interest in this area, are welcome to apply. Working days are Monday to Friday, 9:00AM to 1:30PM. 1-year contract. Duties • Develop and implement IEPs for each child and track progress accordingly • To plan and teach meaningful lessons for children with moderate to severe special needs • Prepare and use a varied choice of appropriate teaching and instructional aids to cater to the different levels of learning abilities • Manage behaviour • Prepare termly reports and conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings • Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills Requirements • Diploma in Special Education or equivalent • Must have at least 5 ‘O’ level credits, with at least a B grade in English • Minimum 2 years teaching experience working with children with special needs • Experience writing Individual Education Plans (IEP) • Advantage if experienced using a curriculum • Have used assessment tools to gauge ability levels • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Dedicated, patient and understanding when working with children with special needs • Willingness to learn Basic Monthly Salary range of $1300 - 1800. Salary to commensurate with experience and qualifications. Holidays follow MOE calendar. Work location is 140 Bukit Timah Rd, Singapore 229840.
