Import Manager (Airfreight Forwarding)

Lead and guide the import customer service team, ensuring smooth handling of shipments from arrival to job closure. Oversee daily operations including documentation, carrier coordination, customs clearance, billing, and compliance with service standards. Drive workflow improvements by identifying gaps and implementing practical solutions to enhance efficiency. Monitor team performance against agreed KPIs, provide coaching, and act as escalation point for complex service issues. Collaborate with operations, customs, and other departments to deliver seamless import processes for clients. Requirements: Proven supervisory experience in airfreight import customer service and billing functions. Solid knowledge of import workflows, documentation, and customs regulations. Strong problem‑solving ability with a track record of supporting operational enhancements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage both team and client interactions. Hands‑on experience with CargoWise system.
