Note: Successful candidates need to be comfortable with working on weekends and shift as and when required Background: APAC UNIX SA role is to ensure day-to-day production support of Unix servers across the enterprise, including physical and virtual machines supporting all lines of business. The role involves troubleshooting and configuration of the technical environment, monitoring and managing server performance and health. The position requires working in shifts to provide production support, ensure infrastructure stability, and handle escalations from core infrastructure teams. Responsibilities include responding to critical incident escalations and outages, working with vendors such as Red Hat, HP, and others, and providing weekend support for infrastructure changes (e.g., Network, Storage, etc.). Key Responsibilities Provide Incident Management support. Assist with troubleshooting and configuration of the technical environment. Escalate and liaise with internal/external teams as required to achieve satisfactory resolution. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity. Respond promptly to notifications of potential service issues. Manage and monitor server performance, health, and configuration standards. Investigate and troubleshoot root causes through problem management processes. Plan and provide support for Unix infrastructure-related changes. Plan and provide support for site-wide BCP exercises and application-specific BCP tests independently. Provide weekend support for change implementations and global incident support. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor Key Requirements Enterprise server support experience with Red Hat Linux (RHEL 7/8/9). Cluster management experience (PCS, VCS, HACMP). Knowledge of SAN, NAS, Network, HBA, FCoE. Experience with data center-wide infrastructure changes. Experience supporting server hardware such as Dell, HP, and IBM. Experience supporting virtualized environments and VMware technologies, including vSAN. Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills are an added advantage. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
