6 Months Contract Accountant (Insurance) ($7-9K) #Byr

Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly expense closing, reporting, and management reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Perform expense variance analysis and partner with stakeholders to understand key drivers and trends. Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and management presentation materials. Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense allocation activities. Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy. Collaborate with Finance, Financial Reporting, and Actuarial teams to ensure consistent reporting and planning. Review and provide guidance on work completed by junior team members. Maintain reporting documentation, templates, and data methodologies. Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required. Requirements 6–10 years of experience in management reporting, financial reporting, FP&A, or a related finance function. Experience in the insurance industry is an advantage. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, expense analysis, and management reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle EPM, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar reporting tools is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with keen attention to detail. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
