Contract Lab Analyst/ Technician, Water (12 Months, Renewable) #Hcg

Key Responsibilities Perform manual laboratory analysis on wastewater and crude oil samples Ensure all testing is conducted accurately and in accordance with laboratory procedures and quality standards. Handle various water and wastewater samples, including sour water Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective masks, will be provided. Independently manage the day-to-day operations of a small laboratory. Oversee laboratory chemical and consumable inventory, including purchasing, stock monitoring, and replenishment. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping, and equipment organisation. Ensure laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety standards are kept up to date and consistently followed by all laboratory users. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in laboratory testing or analytical chemistry in water testing is preferred. Flexible with working hours and willing to work overtime when operational needs arise.
