Responsibilities Register patients and verify personal information accurately. Update and maintain patient records in the hospital system. Process patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Work closely with doctors, nurses and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow. Collect consultation fees, deposits and other payments. Explain billing, subsidies and payment options to patients and their families. Issue receipts and maintain accurate billing records. Support ward class and insurance-related administrative processes. Attend to patient and visitor enquiries at the counter and over the phone. Provide information on waiting times, hospital procedures and services. Ensure service counters and workstations are well maintained and operational. Handle feedback professionally and escalate issues when required. Follow hospital policies, SOPs and service standards. Assist with patient screening and basic vital signs measurement. Guide patients to the appropriate care areas and assist with wayfinding. Provide wheelchair assistance and support patients with self-service registration where required. Educate patients on hospital guidelines, including infection control measures. Support nurses and clinicians with basic patient care and other assigned duties. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and PDPA requirements. Participate in emergency preparedness exercises and departmental training. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Minimum GCE 'N'/'O' Levels, NITEC, Higher NITEC, Professional Certificate, Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in customer service, patient services, healthcare administration or frontline operations is preferred. Experience in a hospital, clinic or Emergency Department will be an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
