Desktop Support Engineer (Roaming)

Locations: East And West Working hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm or 9am to 6pm, Mon to Fri. Job Summary We are seeking a customer-oriented Desktop Engineer who is open to roam islandwide to provide onsite IT support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-user computing devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting IT infrastructure, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities End-User Support Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users. Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues. Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and business applications. Support Microsoft Office 365 applications and services. Handle user account administration, password resets, and access-related requests. Assist users with email, network connectivity, and VPN issues. Hardware& Asset Management Perform deployment, replacement, and decommissioning of IT equipment. Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate records. Coordinate warranty claims and vendor support activities. Conduct preventive maintenance checks on IT equipment. Incident& Service Request Management Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system. Ensure tickets are updated and resolved within agreed SLA timelines. Escalate complex issues to relevant support teams when necessary. Prepare incident reports and technical documentation when required. Infrastructure Support Support LAN/WAN connectivity troubleshooting. Assist with network device installation and basic troubleshooting. Support printers, scanners, meeting room equipment, and AV systems. Participate in IT projects, migrations, and system upgrades. Cybersecurity & Compliance Ensure endpoint security solutions are installed and operational. Perform basic security checks and vulnerability remediation activities. Support cybersecurity initiatives such as patch management and endpoint monitoring. Comply with company security policies and customer requirements. Job Requirements: Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration . Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD. Knowledge of Active Directory , Group Policy, and DNS. Experience with hardware troubleshooting and deployment. Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Fresh service, or ManageEngine. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs). Experience supporting printers and multifunction devices. Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions. Basic understanding of vulnerability management and security best practices. Soft Skills Strong customer service and communication skills. Good problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Team player with a positive attitude. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
