Financial Analyst (Production Costs)

Our client is a leading manufacturing company in precision engineering industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting an Cost Analyst to be part of their FP&A Team. They are located in the West - easily accessible. Duties of Cost Analyst: Conduct manufacturing cost analysis covering raw materials, labor, overheads, scrap, yield losses, and subcontracting costs to identify cost-saving and margin improvement opportunities. Perform product, customer, and SKU profitability analysis, highlighting key cost drivers, margin risks, and business opportunities. Partner with production, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to support operational decision-making, pricing strategies, and customer profitability assessments. Monitor and report manufacturing and inventory KPIs, cost variances, and operational performance, providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Review and maintain standard costing accuracy through cost validation, system reconciliation, and continuous enhancement of costing methodologies and financial controls. Support budgeting, forecasting, gross profit projections, and financial modelling for manufacturing investments, Capex proposals, and strategic business initiatives. Provide financial analysis and cost insights for special projects, including make-versus-buy evaluations, footprint optimization, product portfolio decisions, and audit support.
