Backend Software Engineer

About rednote rednote is a lifestyle and content community platform serving millions of users globally. We are looking for a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our Singapore-based team. You will work on core backend systems that power rednote's international products, collaborating closely with engineering teams across Singapore and globally. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services supporting rednote's international business Build and optimize distributed systems handling large-scale traffic and data Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data, infrastructure) to deliver reliable and compliant solutions Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical decision-making Drive engineering excellence through best practices in testing, monitoring, and incident response Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of backend software development experience Proficiency in Go, Java, or similar backend programming languages Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and high-concurrency design Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Redis, etc.) Solid understanding of system design principles and ability to handle large-scale systems Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills in English
