You will live on the front lines of gaming culture—navigating the depths of Reddit, mastering the TikTok and YouTube algorithms, and optimizing our presence on Steam. You understand how modern gamers (including Gen Z and Gen Alpha) think, what makes them cringe, and what makes them instantly hit "Add to Cart." Key Responsibilities1. Viral Content & Social Media (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels) Create & Execute: Brainstorm, shoot, and edit high-engagement, short-form video content that leverages current audio trends, gaming memes, and gameplay hooks. Trend Jacking: Move at the speed of the internet. Identify rising trends, gaming discourse, and pop culture moments, and quickly adapt them to our brand voice. Influencer Relations: Identify and collaborate with mid-tier and micro-influencers/streamers on YouTube and TikTok who authentically align with our player base. 2. Community & Platform Management (Reddit & Discord) Organic Reddit/Discord Growth: Engage authentically in relevant subreddits (e.g., r/gaming, r/indiegames) without sounding like a corporate advertisement. Build grassroots hype through developer updates, behind-the-scenes content, and transparent communication. Player Psychology: Understand the unique mindset of today's players. Speak their language, validate their feedback, and turn casual players into hardcore evangelists. 3. Storefront & Algorithm Optimization Page Crafting: Optimize our store pages (tags, copy, capsules, trailers, and GIFs) to maximize visitor-to-wishlist conversion rates. Launch & Event Strategy: Plan and execute high-impact campaigns for Steam Next Fest, seasonal sales, and update launches to trigger the Steam recommendation algorithm. 4. Data-Driven Ideation Monitor performance metrics across all channels (Steam traffic sources, TikTok watch time, Reddit upvotes) to double down on what works and quickly pivot away from what doesn't. Who You Are (Requirements) The Experience: 2–4 years of experience marketing video games, consumer tech, or entertainment brands, with a proven track record of driving organic viral growth. Platform Native: You know Reddit etiquette, and the inner workings of the TikTok/YouTube algorithms like the back of your hand. Culturally Fluent: You are deeply embedded in gaming and internet culture. You know what players are laughing at today , not last month. Creative Executioner: Capable of basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.) and graphic tweaks to push out content rapidly. Singapore-Based: Must be legally authorized to work in Singapore and comfortable working with a local/hybrid team.
