About this role

Job Description As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth and expand the company’s project pipeline by identifying new business opportunities in building construction and major upgrading works. You will play a key role in securing tenders, building client relationships, and positioning the company competitively in the construction market. Core Business Development Skills Lead generation and opportunity identification Tender sourcing and bid management Client acquisition and account management Strategic planning and market expansion Pipeline management and forecasting Industry-Specific Skills (Construction) Strong understanding of building construction and A&A works Knowledge of tendering processes (public & private sector) Familiarity with contract types (lump sum, design & build, etc.) Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities) Understanding of construction project lifecycle and costing Commercial & Financial Skills Cost analysis and pricing strategy Budgeting and financial evaluation of projects Contract negotiation and deal structuring Risk assessment and profitability analysis Relationship & Communication Skills Stakeholder management (clients, consultants, subcontractors) Strong networking and relationship-building abilities Negotiation and persuasion skills Presentation and proposal-writing skills Strategic & Analytical Skills Market research and competitor analysis Identifying trends and growth opportunities Data-driven decision making Problem-solving and critical thinking Technical & Digital Skills CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) Tender portals and procurement platforms Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint for proposals and analysis) Project coordination tools (basic understanding) Personal Competencies Results-driven and target-oriented Strong initiative and self-motivation Time management and ability to handle multiple bids Adaptability in a fast-paced construction environment Attention to detail Bonus / Advantage Skills Existing network within construction industry (developers, consultants, government agencies) Knowledge of local regulations and authority requirements Experience with branding, marketing, or corporate positioning
