About this role

The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves managing site teams, liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and ensuring efficient use of materials and resources. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and manage all stages of construction works, including planning, scheduling, and execution. Coordinate and supervise site engineers, supervisors, and workers to achieve project objectives. Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards. Monitor progress and provide regular updates to management and clients on project status, milestones, and potential issues. Ensure all site activities comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and environmental requirements. Liaise with consultants, architects, and authorities for project coordination, inspections, and approvals. Prepare project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure resource efficiency. Manage procurement schedules for materials, equipment, and subcontractor works. Conduct site meetings, resolve technical and operational challenges promptly. Ensure timely completion and proper documentation for handover, testing, and commissioning stages. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural, Building, or Construction Engineering. Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in construction management, preferably in civil, structural, or architectural works. Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management, and safety practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure. Proficient in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office applications. Familiar with BCA, LTA, and relevant Singapore regulatory requirements. Possession of a valid WSH Safety Supervisor / bizSAFE / BCSS certification (advantage). Class 3 driving license preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS: Full-time, site-based position. Working hours: As per project schedule (may include weekends/public holidays depending on site progress). Locations: Various construction sites across Singapore.
