Job Summary: An Airport Porter is responsible for assisting passengers with their luggage, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring baggage is transported safely and efficiently within the airport. The role involves supporting passengers with arrivals, departures, transfers, and special assistance needs while maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities Assist passengers with carrying, loading, and unloading luggage. Escort passengers to check-in counters, boarding gates, baggage claim areas, and transportation points. Transport baggage using luggage carts or trolleys safely and efficiently. Provide assistance to elderly passengers, families with children, and passengers with reduced mobility. Offer directions and general airport information to passengers. Ensure luggage is handled carefully to prevent damage or loss. Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of luggage trolleys and equipment. Follow airport safety, security, and operational procedures at all times. Report unattended baggage, suspicious activities, or safety hazards immediately. Work closely with airline staff, ground handling personnel, and airport operations teams. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance. Requirements Minimum secondary education or equivalent. Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy luggage (up to company/airport standards). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic English communication; additional languages are an advantage. Ability to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight. Customer-oriented with a positive attitude. Able to work in a fast-paced airport environment. No criminal record and able to obtain airport security clearance. Preferred Skills Knowledge of airport operations and passenger services. Experience in hospitality, customer service, or baggage handling is an advantage. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Team player with good time management skills. Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor airport environments. Shift-based work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting of luggage. Exposure to varying weather conditions when working in outdoor areas. Typical Duties Meet and greet arriving or departing passengers. Assist with baggage movement throughout the airport.
