Job Summary As a Field Service Engineer, you will lead technical delivery and project execution of automation and control systems, collaborating with project managers and teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality project outcomes. Responsibilities Lead technical engineering and project management activities across all project phases including planning, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of control system projects Design, develop, and program control systems to meet engineering specifications and project requirements Provide regular status updates and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project managers and Engineering Team Leaders Develop and enforce technical standards and procedures within the project scope Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams including engineers, technicians, contract staff, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery Foster a collaborative team environment that supports effective communication and problem-solving Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned projects, ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met Adapt to evolving technologies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Apply critical thinking and attention to detail to troubleshoot and optimize control systems Demonstrate active listening and cultural values aligned with the organization Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate Manager Required competencies and certifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics & Communication Engineering Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, control, and electrical projects including design, consulting, implementation, and commissioning Strong knowledge of digital electronics, electrical fundamentals, and programming languages relevant to control systems Proficient understanding of industrial control systems, preferably Rockwell Automation solutions, and IT/OT infrastructure Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Analytical thinking and proactive information-seeking approach Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience working in complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), life sciences, or data center environments Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products and software Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio Knowledge and experience with low voltage and medium voltage drives
