Associate, Analytics

We are working with a fast-growing, internationally active shipping and maritime investment company that has seen exceptional growth over the last five years and is now strengthening its commercial presence in Asia with this hire. This is a newly created role within their Commercial Analytics team, based in Singapore. You will work directly with the Head of Analytics on some of the most commercially significant decisions the business makes — vessel acquisitions and sales, equity raises, ship financing, profit-sharing structures and investment in new maritime technologies, including an active and ambitious new build programme. The deal flow is real, fast-moving and genuinely high-stakes. Travelling to Europe should be expected. The role You will build and run financial models that inform major transactions, prepare presentations for senior leadership and external counterparties, review and negotiate term sheets, and support the coordination of commercial projects from start to finish. There is also a mentoring component — you will support junior analysts as the team grows. This is not a back-office or support role. You will be expected to think, move fast and communicate clearly and concisely with people at the top of the organisation from day one. The right person You have 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, ideally with exposure to shipping, maritime assets or related asset classes such as aviation. Candidates from investment banks, asset finance firms or shipping companies with strong modelling backgrounds are all of interest. You are sharp, polished and comfortable being challenged. You work well independently and do not need constant oversight to deliver. You communicate in a way that respects other people's time — clear, direct and to the point.
