Rail Power - Technician

Primary Objectives of Position Operation and maintenance of NEL OCS and DC traction power equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and availability to meet operational requirements Major Responsibilities Carry out on routine preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works for NEL OCS system Ensure work carried out are in accordance with work instructions and procedures Responsible for maintaining system and update work records Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors Specific Safety Responsibilities To enforce Departmental Work Instructions and all Rail related safety rules and procedures Responsible for the safety of departmental staff, related contractors and others working on the Electrical Power distribution & OCS system in the MRT premises The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is needed. Job Specifications Minimum Education / Qualifications NITEC in Electrical Technology or Mechanical Engineering Minimum Years of Relevant Experience Preferably with relevant working experience in maintenance of HV and DC traction equipment. Knowledge/Skills Good interpersonal skill Attributes (functional & leadership competencies) Resourceful, self - motivated and result oriented Good team player
