Who are we looking for We are looking for someone who enjoys operational work and has solid experience managing patent matters. This person will handle cases in our Patent Department and help promote our customer-oriented approach. The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned matters, work closely with patent attorneys, patent engineers, invention harvesters, clients, and foreign associates, and provide hands-on support whenever required. Your Mission As a Patent Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Act as a key account manager. Correspond with clients, patent offices, foreign associates, and other stakeholders, and maintain accurate records of such correspondence. Coordinate with patent attorneys and patent engineers to ensure that work is delivered to the agreed quality standards, timelines and budgets. Manage patent prosecution matters, including: Filing patent applications and related documents with relevant patent offices, particularly the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), the European Patent Office (EPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO/PCT) and, where applicable, the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). Maintaining records of filed documents and official correspondence.Coordinating patent prosecution procedures and ensuring compliance with filing requirements before IPOS, the EPO and WIPO (PCT).Liaising with and instructing foreign associates on procedural patent matters in various jurisdictions. Preparing filing instructions and supporting documentation for patent attorneys and foreign associates. Coordinating the filing of responses to official communications from national and international patent offices.Processing invoices from foreign associates and vendors, including preparing quotations and invoices for clients. Coordinate the delivery of the following IP services: Patent applications, Prior art searches, Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses, Patent validity and/or infringement analyses, Official register file inspections, Competitor monitoring Assignment and licensing matters Support the development of new products and services. Step in to assist the team whenever required. What we are looking for Minimum 5 years’ experience managing patent matters, including patent filing and prosecution before IPOS, the EPO and WIPO (PCT). Legal qualification is an advantage but not essential. Strong command of written and spoken English. Experience liaising with foreign associates across multiple jurisdictions. Strong organisational, case management and communication skills. Familiarity with billing processes and client matter administration. Ability to manage multiple matters, changing priorities, and tight deadlines. Self-starter with a proactive and hands-on attitude. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Able to work in the Singapore time zone (SGT).
