Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Accountant to join our Finance & Admin team. This is a permanent, executive-level position that plays a critical role in supporting our financial operations across multiple entities. You will be involved in a wide scope of responsibilities including AR, AP, GL, compliance, tax, audit, and reporting. Responsibilities: Prepare group consolidated reports and compliance checklists. Compute and submit company tax, GST filings, and support corporate tax submissions. Monitor daily bank balances, cash flow, and prepare weekly reports. Handle full spectrum of AP, AR, and GL functions, including intercompany billing. Perform monthly closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. Liaise with banks on loan matters and monitor financial covenants. Support internal/external audits and assist with year-end financial reporting. Verify staff claims, manage petty cash, and process vendor payments. Draft financial presentation slides and prepare Board Pack materials. Contribute to financial planning, stocktake, system updates, and ad-hoc tasks. Requirements: Degree in Accountancy Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Navision, and PowerPoint Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills Able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
