Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary Prepare and manage cost comparisons, contract documentation, and procurement activities to ensure effective project cost control and contractual compliance as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Responsibilities Prepare and analyse cost comparisons to support project budgeting and decision-making Provide accurate contract documents, correspondence, and information to ensure proper contractual performance Obtain quotations and negotiate effectively with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms Measure quantities and perform take-offs to support accurate cost estimation and billing Apply construction and engineering principles to assess project requirements and costs Utilize knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes to manage contractual obligations Analyse project costs to evaluate and manage budgets effectively Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlements, and sub-contractor payments to ensure accurate financial management Perform all other quantity surveying related tasks to support project delivery Required competencies and certifications Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting companies Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration, and managing variation orders Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proactive time management to meet tight deadlines Preferred competencies and qualifications 5-day work week
