Purpose and Scope The Executive, Commercial Ops (Power) supports the day-to-day commercial operations of the Power Trading team, including market data monitoring, reporting, settlement support, coordination of operational inputs, and follow-up on market-related matters. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or junior candidates who are keen to build a foundation in Singapore’s power market, commercial operations, and energy trading support through structured learning and on-the-job exposure. Key Roles and Responsibilities Daily Commercial Operations Support: Assist in daily power market operational activities, including data checks, report preparation, documentation, and timely follow-up on operational matters. Market Data Monitoring and Reporting: Track key electricity market indicators, consolidate relevant data, and prepare routine reports to support team review and decision-making. Settlement and Verification Support: Support settlement-related activities by checking source data, reconciling information, highlighting discrepancies, and maintaining proper records. Gas and Power Operations Coordination: Assist with coordination of operational inputs such as gas nominations, supply and transport information, and other data required to support power market operations. Stakeholder Liaison: Work with internal teams and external counterparties to clarify information, follow up on issues, and ensure timely completion of operational tasks. Compliance and Process Discipline: Follow market rules, internal procedures, risk guidelines, and approval processes, while escalating exceptions or issues appropriately. Process Improvement and Digitalisation: Support simple process improvement, automation, data-cleaning, and dashboard/reporting initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, and productivity. Learning and Development: Build knowledge of the Singapore electricity market, commercial operations, trading support processes, and relevant internal systems through structured guidance and hands-on exposure. Qualifications & Experience Educational Background: Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline. Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome. Internship, project, or co-curricular exposure to energy, utilities, data analysis, operations, commercial support, or trading-related environments will be advantageous. Skills, Competencies and Preferred Characteristics Strong Numerical and Analytical Ability: Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, reports, and numerical information with a high level of accuracy. Attention to Detail: Able to perform checks carefully, identify inconsistencies, and maintain reliable records. Learning Agility: Curious, proactive, and willing to learn about power markets, commercial operations, and trading support processes. Communication and Coordination: Able to communicate clearly, follow up responsibly, and work effectively with different stakeholders. Digital Mindset: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; exposure to Power BI, Python, VBA, SQL, or other analytical tools will be advantageous. Team Player: Positive, dependable, and collaborative, with the willingness to support team priorities in a fast-paced environment. Operational Readiness: Willing to support urgent operational matters when required, with guidance from senior team members.
