Lorry Driver

Their duties and responsibilities include: Operating and driving a lorry to transport goods and materials over specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Complying with lorry driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules Loading and unloading cargo from the lorry, often with the help of a forklift or other machinery Collecting and verifying delivery instructions, including signatures from customers Reporting defects, accidents or violations Maintaining a logbook of their driving activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations governing the rest and work periods for operators Keeping the lorry and associated equipment clean and in good working order Communicating effectively with clients or dispatchers about delays or problems on the route MOM LICENSE NO. : 21C0460 EA REG ID : R1768038
